Hiking up Mt Woodson

One of my favorite hikes in the San Diego area, The trailhead begins at Lake Poway, wraps around the south side of the lake and winds up the mountain. At the top is everyone's favorite photo op: Potato Chip Rock! Here's my roomie and some of the people I went with.

Which way to look?

Went for a walk tonight and couldn't decide which way to look - the Hotel Del Coronado, all lit up for Christmas, or the gorgeous orange sunset. Happy New Year!

Out on a walk I came across this rogue poinsettia plant growing like crazy above my head here on Coronado. Talking to the guy walking into the house, it turns out his parents brought it back from Hawaii and it's been thriving!

I was invited to the Poinsettia Bowl last night - it was my first time at Qualcomm Stadium. We decided to cheer for Texas Christian University - and we picked the right team. Go Frogs!
